The Fed will be meeting this week with expectations for no change, but if there is a surprise it would be for higher rates, not lower rates as inflation remains too high.
Crude oil prices for extending to lower with the price back below the $83 level at $82.62. That is down $6.70 on the day. Technically, the price is back below its 100 and 200 hour moving averages. It is also moving further away from its 100 day moving average here $89.99. Recall from last week, the price moved above that moving average for the 1st time since June 12, but found willing sellers near the 50% midpoint of the move down from the March high to the July low at $93.28..
